Freight waves article stated Jack Cooper notified drivers they are closing, is this true?

Some of us are getting strong raises. multi year contracts and more freight than we can handle.

I am not exactly sure what you mean, but currently there is more money to be made in this segment of the industry than in many years. Fortunately Ford and GM both saw the value in awarding contracts to carriers who actually own and operate carhaulers and who have been hauling for them for many years at other locations instead of giving the freight to brokers like RPM who don’t own any equipment. The foreseeable future looks bright for this segment of the industry. Not sure what segment of the industry you are in.

Imma go buy me a Ram 3500 dually and a wedge trailer and make a fortune!

Not really though. But I hope for anyone who's in the business they have nothing but good times for the foreseeable future. It always amazed me to see brand new cars and trucks being hauled by some of these 'carhaulers'. Made me wonder how they pass through DOT inspections

    Banker Thanks this.
