I looked at some of the links and the higher resolution that seems to be the problem is in the area of 1920 x 1200. My little cheapy for $79 from the Walmart link is only 1024 x 600. So, should be good to go. But, I have to agree that a 7 day free trial would be nice.

you didn't waste $150. you have a lifetime gps now. works on any android. THINK, old cell phone your no longer using. just because it no longer has service, don't mean it still can't be used as a tablet.
i'm not buying replacement hand units. (rand, garmin)Skydivedavec Thanks this. -
it's cheap enough. i think i might buy one just for kicks and giggles. if it don't work. walmart the best for returns.
Skydivedavec Thanks this. -
Neither am I buying replacements. When my new Dezl dies I'm finished with GPS units. Several times a week it gives me the black screen of death 3 to 5 times in succession and I have to reset. And don't get me started on the fact that it doesn't give exit numbers for truck stops!

There is a free version in the app store with limited features. There is a $10 version with all features except truck-specific stuff.
So it's pretty cheap (or free) to take a look (trial) of how it acts and looks on your device first. FYI.Skydivedavec Thanks this. -
Since I already had the paid version of copilot that I used on another device (not the truck version) I had a lifetime GPS before I dropped the hundred and a half for Copilot Truck. My prior experience with copilot is what caused me to buy the truck version AND upgrade the tablet.
Putting Truck on an old phone/tablet is a bit like painting over a rusty car or putting lipstick on a pig--you can do it but what's the point? Do you really want to have it slowly recalculating while you're blowing into an interchange? The bottom line is that ALK needs to fix this problem so that their app is compatible with newer devices, but they don't seem interested in that at all. -
I have absolutely no problem running copilot on older devices. and when I'm done with device I let family members have at it. they aren't complaining either.
not seeing what copilot needs to fix. -
There's an update with added features that just rolled out..and the maps has also been updated. it 1/2 gig bigger in file size now.
so i ordered that tablet even paid the $10 for overnight so that it arrived when i got home this weekend.

yep. anyone considering would be smart to take advantage of the price.
ditch those other brands. you won't be sorry. and if you really want the features those other brands have. there's an app for that. FOR FREE.
on another note, my tablet has arrived, waiting for me to get homeLast edited: Nov 1, 2014
