Better than getting hammered on alcohol while off duty. I am retired Po Po and I don't see a problem with it.

 

Another step in the right direction. Little by little we're doing away with the old "smoke a joint and go to hell" attitudes.
Eventually they'll get some testing baselines in place and if a guy wants to blaze up on the weekend he'd be able to do it without risking his entire career.

I don’t like weed, don’t like the smell of it, the one time I tried it when I was around 18 it made me paranoid and gave me anxiety, and I’ve never used it again. When I’m in a restaurant a bar and a group of people were sitting out in their car getting high walk by, makes me nauseous.

THAT SAID, let’s be realistic, it’s not as hard on your body as drinking alcohol is. If alcohol is legal, weed should be legal as well. Just because I don’t like it doesn’t mean other people can’t enjoy it.

I didn’t smoke weed for 27 years. After 21 years on active duty and 4 years in Trucking I got fired from my city LTL city driver job and ended up working for myself doing mostly carpentry work. Then it dawned on me on a ski trip to Colorado that for the first time in a really long time I wasn’t subject to Random drug test. It was a fun experience, reliving my high school days.
