    Got that right!
Never wanting for food, free run of the area to go wherever and whenever (within reason), seldom worrying about predators like kids today, much more freedom at school.

And I had it even better. Hawaii about once a month, and somewhere else in the country most other weekends. I practically grew up in jetliners. One weekend I flew out to D.C. just so I could take the inaugural nonstop flight from D.C. to Hawaii. Then back to San Francisco in time for school Monday. And it was First Class all the way.
Just me, the family didn't come on that one. I was 16.
Having a dad with 25 years at United Airlines had some good perks back then.

Even after all that I learned that buy now pay later was a bad idea. I had my first and last credit card when I was in my early 20's. Never again because it is too easy to get in way over my head.
Most of my generation never learned that.

And now look what they are doing with this new stimulus bill.
2 trillion, 6 trillion if you add in the Fed aspect of it, and they are just going to print the money to do it.
And that won't be the end of it, because the threat from the virus has only begun.

    dwells40 Thanks this.

I'm getting good rates, cheap cheap fuel and NO TRAFFIC. Trucking hasn't been this good in a long time. Please stay where you are and tell everyone the sky is falling and not to go outside.

    Sometimes it depends on location..
Rates vary and @Sani101 might be in a bad location where there’s little or no freight or in an area where there is plenty of freight but it’s on the cheap side.

It also might depend on what trailer you’re pulling(van, reefer, skateboard, step deck, etc). Right now van freight is the most volatile because drivers are literally running for table scraps).

I don’t go to the Northeast or California. Every were I’ve been there has been a $3-4 a mile a load within 150 mile deadhead. I have a refer.

I’m a company driver so I go wherever they send me(I live in the northeast so that puts me at a advantage). We’re primarily a reefer company and we have dry vans but most of those are used on dedicated accounts. The current run I’m on usually they would send by rail but since I’m due for hometime they gave it to me because they know I’ll get it delivered early.
