    Saturday is pretty good.

Get you some of that Dutch Country grub, fill you up a little bit.

I am happy to be in my mid 50's I feel blessed to have lived in a America long before what we have become today.

I refuse to be baited by the hey boomer crap. The little ones don't know what their fathers and their fathers before them have done to buy their freedom.

Part of my family in about 1818 to 1822 found themselves in a part of Europe laid absolutely waste by Napoleon's Armies and making a living is impossible. So they accepted a choice. A ticket to America via Bremen to Baltimore or down to Ukraine. About 146000 took tickets to America to start over in the new world. The other 860000 went to Ukraine. Two of those who Arrived in America eventually married and ended up in among the Amish who themselves left switzerland as a group of 80 or so long ago to escape persecution and other horrors imposed by old europe in those days for America, a new world. And a new life. The other part left wales after the English imposed wars on them leaving them with nothing. They end up in Warwick and found themselves in more wars until about 1863 when the entire area got scorched earth. They relocated to Somerset Maryland over time to find peace as either watermen or plantation people. Many are still buried there.

In short. Most of what we have learned in our history is incessant wars that burned us out. Over and over and over again. If its not wars its the sickness and other forms of death after wars. What do we do? Go to America. A new world. And add many more generations and here we are in another war against a virus. That too shall pass. There are two generations after me being born as I write this I think about 7 so far, with another 3 on the way. They will be young adults long after we are gone. And have to live life in America however they find it when they reach 21. They might go to Mars or entirely new worlds off the Planet Earth? Who knows. More power to them.

we all have a number. A beginning and a ending. If you stick around long enough you enjoy life and you love on and care for those close to you every day. And thats all that matters in the end. I just learned over time what to worry about and what to just not worry about. It makes living less complicating.

Good example of why you shouldn't trade your rights & freedoms for anything. It's easy to give government power in a emergency, harder to get it back after.

When the government takes care of you from the cradle to the grave, they assume that gives them control over everything else you do.

No thanks. I like thinking for myself. If I wanted my life spoon fed to me or told what music, movies or books I can listen to/read/see I'd move to NK, China or Russia.

Some folks out there would trade in the bill of rights, constitution, etc because they are told it would make them "safe".

Totally agree, but there are more of us out there then you think. I’m a Millennial and by reading my posts you would probably guess I’m an old timer. I paid attention to my Grandparents and my parents. I do think the 20 to 30 yrs old are mostly all snow flakes, But definitely not all! 30 to 35 a lot but less so. My guess is the people in school now will be more conservative. You can only shove so much bs down ones throat before it causes an opposite effect.

That’s my hope anyway! There are actually quite a few young operators on here doing pretty big things. Makes me proud that at least some of us are carrying on.

And while you are shacked up in the safety of your home, do you have plenty of food to eat? Water to drink? Electricity? Heat? You're welcome.
