Yep I can definitely give real world advice on this one.
I have the 389 from Fitz doing tank work, loaded 50% of the time. I have been getting 6.8mpg and expect that to go over 7mpg this next year after the break in period, and get back to summer blend. I only have 75k miles on so far, but love the truck and the way it pulls and handles the loaded tanks.

Thanks for the advice. When it comes down to it, .2-.5 won't really hurt me. I was predicting a 6.5 when crunching numbers to see if a new glider will work and it does. The 386 slipped my mind till now, but as I said, a few tenths won't hurt because it's low miles and good rate. The only reason I would take a 386 would be for the 244 wheelbase and not have to deal with permits in Quebec and Ontario. If you don't mind me asking mike3fan, how much did yours coffee out to and which transmission did you take. Thanks.

Thanks. It's really just a flip of the coin because they ask get the same mpg. Now it's looks. The 389 is the best but the freightliner sleeper is better.

I just noticed they are listing the T660 on the website again.
-
Well that changes a lot. Know I got to choose between a 389, w900, t660, and freightliner. The business side of me is saying take the freightliner or an aero truck, but the me side of me is saying buy a hood. Looks like I have to re crunch some numbers.

The good news is there probably isn't a bad choice,
