There has been a lot of "experts" weighing in on Covid-19. Some are saying it's overblown and some calling it worse than Ebola. Let's look at the situation in Italy in context. Italy did not close its borders when this thing first appeared. Italy has on average a much older population. I have also been hearing a higher population that are smokers. Once this virus got a foothold it quickly overwhelmed the country's healthcare system. When hospitals are overwhelmed this can cause deaths by the very reason people can't get timely care, regardless of their age. Last time I saw a stat coming out of Italy the average age of the dead was 81. The Italian authorities have discussed just letting the elderly die, they can't handle all the cases. Currently, the US healthcare system has NOT been overwhelmed. These anti-malaria drugs so far are a VERY promising cure. I am banking on my information being correct because I have been exposed to Covid-19 As of 6AM March 21st I have not been confirmed as positive, and currently, I have no symptoms. Awaiting test results.

Edited: test results were negative. Test results were ready yesterday evening. Don't know why they were late informing me.

1,000,000 alleged people dying vs. the entire fabric of society ripping at the seams.. one outcome has a forseeable logical ending point, the other does not. Pretty sure one way or another, a million people will still die in a given year.

Malaria is a parasite. About the only common point between a parasite and a virus is that both need to enter and use cells as hosts. After that, things are very different.
Drugs used in treatment of malaria would have a very small impact on a virus. Quinine is the primary component of most malaria drugs. Go get some tonic water and drink it. Sure its only like 1/1000 of a therapeutic dose, it’s a start. Have one at breakfast, lunchtime and dinner.
See what it does for someone.

I officially will not consider any scientific or medical information from any driver after reading this.

To be fair, some of the other comments have made this decision an easy one.

    Thanks.

Your comment does not line up with data coming from three different places dealing with this problem. The results so far have promise.

This is a radioactive subject for a forum that frowns on political comments. I will say this though. There is blame here on both sides. This crap was at one time outlawed, then those laws were later gutted! I'm done!

So far, the testing has been on small numbers of people. That has some problems with accuracy of data.
The primary point is parasite vs virus. They are very different, but have one thing in common. They need a host cell to survive, multiply and spread. The question is what are the drugs used, the combination and did all testing use the same ####tail and dose? If not, the results have more questions than answers.

Really this runs into what the compounds do.
An antibiotic does not work on a virus.
    Antivirals don’t work on bacteria.

I'm not a physician. I am also not a specialist in medical research. I am just a retired Trucker living in Virginia that reads a lot of material. I will not link to most of the things I have been reading. What I have been reading is people that ARE CONFIRMED TO HAVE COVID-19 are recovering once taking this drug combination. The recovery rate is near 100%. These studies are coming from three different places. I don't think these drugs can be used to prevent infections, but as these studies based on clinical trials are reporting, these recoveries are awsome.

This video (If I copied the correct link) Dr Oz is discussing this further.

Somewhere, somehow, This whole thing will be used to strip more freedoms. I literally go around from truckstop to truckstop and pay people five dollars to cough in my mouth...still not sick...I also excessively touch surfaces that are unnecessary without washing my hands before I eat, still not sick... I just want something that feels real, and no matter how hard I try, I just can’t fit in with the master narrative here. *troll laughs*
