Do both ends of the flex measure the same?
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
After I cut a section let's say 22 inches one side is perfect..the other side is big on the flex.you can turn the big side on the flex but it only goes so far.

Maybe a 5” I.d. piece of pipe to “ sleeve” the s pipe, they make one, I’ve used them on the end of y pipe, when it rusted out. 5x5 short straight connectorchat1850 Thanks this.

Maybe..It is so strange how you make a cut on the flex and one side good and the other too big ang to can only turn it a little and it wont get tight
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
Both ends should be the same, must be a bad piece of flex

That is what I am thinking.i have been trucking 37 years and never in my life have I run into this problem..I guess I will go to freightliner tomorrow and just but the pre cut flex.
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
Will give yall an update tomorrow after I get back from freightliner. Thank to for your input on this issue.

Nothing’s simple anymore, Lol. I went to 4 different places to get 4 hose clamps. When I finally found them at Stoops Indy, they were $10 ea. Normally I wouldn’t have paid it, but I was so tired of trying to find them.

That’s what a $10 hose clamp looks like, a $4 clamp and a $6 stealership “got you”surcharge.
chat1850 Thanks this.
