Just happened upon this site and product information and figured I would pass it on in the event chassis corrosion protection is an issue for anyone.

They have two products that would fit a lot of people's needs if they are wanting to protect their truck.

If anyone has tried these, give some feedback. I am considering the stuff and would welcome any comments on it.

I've tried products similar to the armour seal , like rust check rubberized undercoating and they didn't really hold up for me.

I just spray KROWN T-40 on everything now and although it's a bit messy it does seem to help.

That black-max looks interesting though, I'd like to hear more.

I've been considering sand basting the underside (frame rails and cross members) of my steel steps and RGNs and instead of paint using spray-on truck bed liner.

Better off using POR-15.. That stuff is suppose to be very good, and durable.

You must still prime and paint first. Bed liner wont bond to bare metal.

Por 15 needs to be painted after it drys. UV rays from sun light break down por15 very fast. Under a trailer it would last longer because its not in direct sunlight but it should still be painted.

That is the nice thing about the stuff I came across and started the thread with, no prep, no sandblasting. Just knock off loose rust, a general cleaning of oil and such, and spray away. It claims to neutralize existing rust and seal. The second of the products I linked to claims it can be painted over after applying. Not sure if each will do what they say they will, but it is worth checking out. And it is not expensive. They claim a hundred dollars will do a complete dump truck. They seem to be targeting salt and chemical application trucks and equipment. If they can handle that stuff, it ought to be pretty good for general trucking use.

Well then its a good thing that POR-15 has a complete line of paints to go over their main product.

I've been interested in their Hardnose line of aircraft paints. I've used the original POR-15, as well as their chassis top coat, and I think its done well enough. It even helps hold together the last bits of a 40 year old british car.
