Is sleeping on a couch like sleeping in a truck bunk? I'm trying to use any resources I have at home that are similar to sleeping in a truck. Versus sleeping in my King size bed which doesn't exist in the normal trucking world

It depends on your couch. Sleepers normally have Twin XL mattress's. They are hard. Add a 4 inch topper and they are good to sleep in. Add an APU and it starts to really get comfortable. Add a lot lizard and you could die of diseases you won't get on your couch.

I am 6'5" and can stetch out completely on a Cascadia lower bunk. Have yet to encounter a couch I could do that on.

I had a 70 inch bunk in my mack pinnacle at builders. I'm 6'2" and i could easily stretch out. I had a 10" thick pillow top mattress. I could keep my bag of cloths and my back pack at the foot and still have plenty of room.

Some trucks have really good mattresses, mine has a Serta. But it doesn't matter, like others have said, get a topper. For 50 bucks you can get two from Walmart and turn the worst mattress into the best. I've had all sorts of bad mattresses in my career but I've always slept well thanks to the toppers.
