Could someone explain the hours of service regulations?

    I agree with what you're saying, just have seen drivers post that they've avoided taking resets for most of their time on the road. I also don't know why you wouldn't want to, unless you have the mindset that since you're on the road anyway you might as well be working.

    It comes down to burning your 70 as fast as you can and working fewer days but longer hours, or pacing yourself so you can continually roll and never have to do a reset. I can see the benefits of both and it mostly depends on the driver which works better for them.

    also depends on freight. if you have no load might as well get your break in

    someone forgot about the half hour break you'll be forced to take after 8 hours. along with the new reset rules.

    I wouldn't worry about it, they will all get put on hold again as usual......it'll be held up in court for who knows how long or what they will look like next time coming out of litigation........probably right after everybody spends a ton of money educating drivers on what and how these new regs work, so more $$ down the toilet thanks to know nothing govt. regulators.....:biggrin_25523:
