When its really difficult I compare satellite view in Google, truckerpath and maps and look for shadows to give away poles and wires. The big paper map and truckerpath should call out low clearance but theres plenty of unlisted issues and construction. And i will also call the receiver. If they dont leave me feeling confident i will start searching local authorities and big truck users. DPW, fire dept, pavers, landscape and tree svc, crane or rigging company etc.

The cops will know where big trucks CANT fit since they have to go escort them out.

Try doing house deliveries to highlands or cashiers NC with a spread axle and 260" sleeper. Billygoat mountaintop cities.

I used to get some good directions from the UPS package guys. Not to say I always trusted them but for the most part they were pretty good at knowing the places we go to. Exception being some jobsite deliveries.

Here's a clue - go to the Google satellite view and look at that farm driveway.

EVERY SINGLE TRUCK COMES AND GOES FROM/TO THE WEST. SEE THOSE TRACKS??

Chances are, theres a very good reason for that, and every single livestock truck comes in from the west. If they can make it, any truck can make it.

    1) look at Google maps, first the default view, and then satellite view
    2) if you still have questions, or if theres been a lot of weather (snow, heavy rains, etc) - call them and ask the best way to get in and out. What worked last time might not work this time.

That blacktop road is typical of the biggest road of most of my days.

    Coffey Thanks this.
