I hear people sayin' that drinkin' doesn't
affect their drivin' either.

I don't think anyone here is advocating using
ANY substance while drivin' ANY vehicle.

 

I think that some people are forgeting that alchohol and weed 9 times out of 10 go hand and hand, also cigarettes, not to mention that for some people this leads to experimenting in harsher drugs, due to building a tolerence. I my self do not condon either, as I dont do anything, on my B day I get a six pack of malt liquer with some cranberry juice,a pack of cigarettes, I have 3 of the malts and three cigs, {because I quit after 21 years of chain smoking} and that is my excitement for the year, I have been told that I am boring and the epidimy of a law abiding citizen all that means to me is less stress in my life!! The original post made reference to weed. Thats why I only touched on that subject. I should have added that music is my high along with trucks. My boys are always in a hurry to tell everyone, that I blew the speakers out in my Silverado on the first day Wich I did not do LOL

 

I guess the days of "borrowing" bags from Wal-Mart are over?

All my favorite beers come in bottles. I'm not a Bud/Coors/Miller person.

that, in my opinion, is why it isn't legal. there is no way to test to see if you are under the influence or have just used it in the last x amount of days.

 

I don't agree.

To legalize it and TAX it would bring in billions of dollars to hand out to illegal aliens. AND, legalization would cut out the illegal drug black market -- which would keep billions of dollars circulating in OUR economy, rather than the countries that export it to our shores.

 

You do bring up a good point AfterShock, but I still would not be able to vote yes, if it ever came to pass, maybee just based on principal, or maybee its because I am a nurse?

 

There are lots of things we could legalize and tax
But we have to put a limit some where
Its a proven fact pot use leads to stronger drug use
Cigarettes, coffee and alcohol don't
Burp-cough

How much actual research have YOU done on the subject --- with an open mind?

Or, are you just taking the gubmint's word for it?

And what about the medical benefits?
Are we now depriving folks the benefits of the relief it provides them?
Voters in California voted to legalize it, but the federal gubmint still says no --- and the reasons are bogus.

While you're at it, research "Hemp" -- which our gubmint ALSO considers dangerous, even though hemp has NONE of the effects of marijuana.

Then go back to the founding of this country -- when hemp was grown for export to England. Check out WHO grew it.

MANY products contain hemp.
But now, we have to IMPORT it, instead of EXporting it.
And at higher price, of course.

What led to pot?
Hard booze?

What led to hard booze?
Beer?

What led to beer?
Soda pop?

What led to soda pop

MILK!

So, lets outlaw milk and nip this 'problem' in the bud.

Perhaps if we were told the TRUTH about pot's effects, and uses.................................. instead of using scare tactics, we'd make some progress.

Research the subject with an open mind.
That's all I ask.

For YEARS, marijuana was NOT illegal, and there was NO problem.
So, a problem was created so that the problem could be solved --- by our gubmint --- protecting us from ourselves.
