Maverick has the best training but they wont hire out of Maine. Melton is a joke but they will hire anybody from anywhere. Western Express hires from up there but they're cheap. TMC has the slowest trucks out there but most of the drivers are happy. E.W. Wylie is one you should check out, I don't know if they hire right out of school but I'm pretty sure they'd hire out of Maine. Smokey Point Distribution is another that will hire from there, I think you might have to have experience though.

Probably not a point of pride for them that they kept having loads fall off and they had to find a competent training method from a competitor :p

Was right after they bought out schnieders glass hauling division if im remembering correctly, so that'd be 2006

Not yet familiar with what a fair cpm looks like for a rookie, though I'm sure it will become apparent with some company comparison homework. I think I'll be fine as long as I can find a reasonable rate, though I should probably learn what an insulting lowball looks like so I can recognize it and quickly walk away if needed.

40 is low. 2400 miles a week is about average in flatbed so that's less than $1000 a week, which isn't bad but there is more to be made elsewhere.
