mDub, If you're retiring from the Navy, stick with TRICARE Prime & the TRICARE Retiree Dental Program, they're both far less expensive and offer the same, if not better, coverage as TMC's policies. (For example, TMC uses Delta Dental, as does the TRDP. TMC is $87.80/wk for a family of four. TRICARE Prime is $460/yr & TRDP in MS is $102.55/mo for family of 3 or more.)
Thanks for the replies. That's why I was asking, I just found out about the tricare prices. Just comparing to see wich one is better.
Price aside the TMC medical package blows. Tri-Care isn't the greatest but it's much better than the company plan.
I was reading through this thread and saw where someone had to get approval of where they would park the truck before they could start orintation classes. I have a pre-hire at TMC and have been looking into them as well as a few others, TMC at the top of my list. I take my test this coming Wednesday. I looked a couple of weekends ago at two different truck stops within 10-15 miles from where I live and I saw a TMC truck parked at both of those locations for the weekend. I live in the city and there is an ordience against parking your truck at home. I was just assuming that I could park the truck at the truck stop in Olive Branch Mississippi where I saw one parked. Was I wrong, or will that be an option for me?
If they ask you, just make something up. Tell them you have a fenced yard that is secure, even if you don't. Figure it out once you get the truck home. Cross that bridge when you come to it, just make sure that whatever you do you keep that baby safe and sound.
I start driver training next Monday and TMC is at the top of my list for places to work. Anyone know how the freight is around the Indianapolis area? Also, would the percentage pay or mileage pay be the way to go? Thanks for answering questions from a newbie!
TMC has a terminal in Indy, I think exit 7 off 465? Anyhow, plenty of freight in the Indy area. If you have a HazMat you can bank on pulling roofing glue out of Firestone in Plainfield. If I had it to do over I think I'd take percentage in the beginning.
It's either 2 or 4, whichever one the pilot and the hook are at. Halsted? No that's chicago It starts with an H lol been a while.
