I think they didnt really understand sleep apnea before. My father has it and got a cpap machine and said it mad such a difference in the way he felt. He seems to think I have it too but im to stubborn to go to the doctor about it
Got a question how the trucks are equipped. On TMC's website, they have a virtual 360 of the interior of their truck and it shows a tv, cooler, and a microwave. Do the trucks come equipped with these items or is it something we would buy ourselves? How would you hook up the microwave without an inverter? I've heard they have to be hardwired to have a microwave. I graduate from drivers school next week and TMC is at the top of my short list right now. If I do choose them, how soon are they getting to orientation and training? Another company told me I wouldn't be starting oientation until November or December. Is TMC running that far behind?
The trucks do not have them, you cna buy just ANYTHING in 12v inlcuding microwaves. And once youg get a pre hire, you can come anytime, classes start every monday. you can graduate on friday and be at TMC monday!
Is a 12v microwave going to have enough power to cook anything? What do you have on your truck, if you don't mind me asking? Everything I've ever read concerning microwaves says they have to be hardwired. Nothing about 12v units being available. I'm just curious right now. I hope to be in my own truck in the next 2 to 3 months (hopefully) and want to know how I can stock it. Thanks.
I know, old thread. but It is one I started and my new question fits here too. this is for current or former drivers. Does the company issue you a hard hat, and if so do you have to use that one. can you bring your own and if so are there any restrictions (color, logo's, etc...) was just looknig at my NHL tean's webstore and they got a hard hat on there, that's why I ask.
Hey mDub, TMC does issue you a hard hat. I have seen other guys use different then the one issued by TMC as do I. As long as its a certified hard hat you should not have a problem. FYI...just remember, you will run into some pretty passionate shippers when it comes to sports along the way. I learned from experience not to wear my Yankee hardhat in Boston if I wanted to get loaded quickly...
I dould only have to wory about it in Pitsburg maybe Boston since we put them out of the playoff's last season. might get laughed at right now (worst team in the league, GO CANES)
Aw come on man we beat the stars pretty good the other day, how is that snow treatin yall in cary tonight mDub?
I will say that this statement is true. While just outside Pittsburgh I was making a pick-up at a small factory, backed all the way inside the place and saw a huge Penguins and Steelers sign. I had my Flyers hat on and proceeded to get get booed when I popped out of the truck, lol. An older guy came up to me and said I had some balls on me, it was especially worse because the night before the Flyers beat the Penguins bad by a large margin at home, like 8-1 or something. I got loaded with no problems though and had a great hockey conversation with the older guy there. They even let me finish tarping and strapping inside as it was raining. So I got off easy. But other places I wouldn't be so sure, like wearing Dallas Cowboys stuff around or in Philly.
