From what I heard the new hiring area is North of I-20 to 150 west of Iowa in Kansas/Nebraska. Nothing east of the I-95 corridor. No michigan. Unsure about the Northeast.

If the I-44 corridor through OK isn't part of the hiring area I will be extremely surprised. We have a lot of freight that runs I-44 from St. Louis to Tx.

From what I hear we aren't hiring in NJ or anyone north and east from there at the moment.

thanks guys that makes me feel better.

I'm going to school next month and TMC was recommended to me to submit my application to.

I'm about 11 miles west of I-44 so I'm hoping I can get on.

I was reading on the bad company thread about drivers having to wait to be loaded all day then run all night which sounds about right in the big world of trucking however these guys really painted TMC in a bad light or however the expression goes.

oh yeah ....another question since I seem to be on the fringe of the hiring area whats the chance of me getting home 46 out of 52?

    mDub,

I am a trainer but I am also in the specialized division which limits my ability to train properly. When I am under a Over Dimensional Load the trainee is not going to be able to drive. When that happens the only thing I can do is show you how to tie down the equipment which in your case doesn't help you as far as hauling line haul freight. Wish I could give you better news, but if you have any questions, please don't hesistate to ask.

I'd like to agree with Terry on the cleanliness act. I feel like too many people think their companies are there to provide a service for THEM rather than the other way around. Representing properly also makes the company money and keeps YOU in a job.
Long ago I had a co-driver for a while and we used to make a game out of looking at dashboards. What you see on the dash (trash or clean) is what climbs out of the truck almost every time. Stands to reason that the guy is lazy and won't go an extra inch when needed and probably spends most of his time whining.
From what I've seen about TMC, it's perfect for me, except for miles as of late. I think I'll try an app. if they're not frozen.
