Hey all I know you will all scream why, but I am down here in Chattanooga at orientation. I decided to try it rather then to wait till another company has an opening. So here I sit at the "Hotel" done for the day. I will start a new thread "newbtrker at covenant" so as to not eat up all the space here to keep you all informed on my adventures. If any of you are down here let me know.

Co. still not allowing anybody to move to solo division. Will have to find a co-driver (once again):biggrin_25510: After driving solo for a while.... this feels like moving backwards.... Wonder if they will ever allow team drivers to go solo.... I was hoping to get a GP account.... very frustrating...

    Latest update.

OK people, Redcoat made it to Texas. He got there on Saturday and then sat for two days waiting for a load out toward California. He says the truck is jammed packed with all his crap, his partner's crap and the old partner's crap and a dog and a cat.

So now they have a load to Arizona and hopefully from there to Pomona when they get to drop off the old partner and her cat and all her stuff. The company says that since Redcoat "technically" isn't assigned to the truck yet that he won't get paid for any of the miles.

Although this royally bites, I can see their point. However, my thing is that since the company paid for him to get to Texas, that's where the partnership should have started and it should be the other person deadheading to California, not Redcoat.

Of course my opinion is biased because it has now been 17 days since Redcoat has had any work and I have Wachovia calling me wanting to know where the RV payment is. It will probably be close to three weeks by the time they drop off the other woman and get another dispatch.

Expediting is looking better and better. We've already been putting out feelers but Redcoat STILL needs to hit that six-month mark before he can make the move.

    Stay tuned.

Although RC is not "technically" assigned to the trk, if he helped to drive, he should get paid for the miles. If the driver agrees to include his name in the Trip Info Sheet... that is. It happened to me, when I got a ride from Pomona to Chatt. We all drove and the drivers were very kind to include me in their paperwork. But got to keep reminding dsp about it. You gotta fight for what is yours.... they are doing whatever they can to avoid paying what they owe to the drivers. :biggrin_2552: The way things are going in that co., they changing their own rules at their own convenience, I wonder if they will ever honor their word and allow team drivers to go solo again or the 80 thousand mile bonus, or whatever.... Be tought :yes2557:

If he doens't get paid then he should not drive. If his partner won't include him in his trip pack, then he should not drive. Their using him for cheap labor, by not paying him.. I hope things finally turn around for him and you, you both deserve better good luck..

Sounds like RC is getting the shaft, shouldn't be happening. Rocks you may want to question the co. cause you already have you six months team in right. There is a lady down here that came from swift and is doing a refresher coarse and she said she is going solo like next week!!! Look into it and I'll keep my ears open. Good Luck all!!
