MCR, is this 48-state dedicated route with Covenant?

Just curious. My son's route sounds like it is dedicated (i.e., seems like they are always going the same route with the same loads from the same shippers each time.... from GA to Northern CA or OR/WA then back to TN). And my son's dispatcher is female. He loves her to death....she really does a good job of keeping them running

Mountain Mama, sounds like your son is hauling carpet, out of one of the many plants in Dalton (NW of Atlanta), out to Kent,WA (or nearby). I did a few of those runs for Covenant, and they weren't that bad. We'd actually pull a reefer out, do a drop and hook, and then haul arse to Salinas,CA for a load of lettuce (usually) going east (Atlanta, New Jersey, or Indiana). Ultimately we sat way too much running reefer, so we parted ways.

MCR, glad to hear things are looking up, hope they work out for you. Transplace is a broker that Covenant uses to cover freight that their drivers can't. At least that's what a buddy of mine had told me; he used to be a Covenant Lease purchase guy. He is happily running as an Independent; he bought the truck out and left a few years ago. You take care and let us know how it goes.

WASP is a metal band out of the 80's and the 'Eat me raw' was a line from an intro to a song they did live, which they dedicated to the PMRC. The song was totally vulgar, which was their specialty, and part of the reason I like them, even if I am a chick!

Love Zeppelin! On my list of all time favorites. There is a local radio station here that does a 'Get the Led Out' every week night at 6.

Megadeth did a song about the PMRC, called "Hook in Mouth", from their "So far so good, so what?" album.

I'll have to PM you what the intro was for the WASP song if you want to know what it is, as it's not very polite! It was an intro for their song 'Harder, Faster' that they only released on their live album.
