Have you looked at Abilene Motor Express?

Does your husband have any endorsements? If so, he can easily make $60K+ pulling tankers and there's many companies in GA that hire tanker drivers. Good pay/good home time.
Abilene Motor Express has a thread on here and the drivers are doing real good there.
Big-G Express drivers say they make good money and home weekends.
A&R Transport - $62K - $72K and home weekends. Don't need tanker/hazmat endorsements because they haul plastic pellets.
    CT Transportation - home weekends
Tyson Foods - hires in GA. An Atlanta driver posted he made $60K last year.

My husband and I drove team for Covenant for over a year. Our pay was never correct. Not only was our pay consistently shorted, they were extremely unprofessional. Of all the places we worked, this was by far the worst treatment. Very inhumane. If you challenge them on your shorted pay, you will end up sitting in a dirt lot with no miles or your truck will be sent to a repair shop where other covenant drivers were previously robbed. And YOUR truck will be robbed as well. When we finally had enough of our pay being shorted and watching others suffering the same, we left. But it didn't stop there, they reported false information regarding our endorsements. My husband and I had all our endorsements, but we were not endorsed to go to Canada and Mexico as they reported. Bottom line.... the level of dishonesty under the cloak of christianity is shameful.

My husband and I work for Covenant and couldn't be happier. We have never had an issue with pay. It' all about getting your trip sheets in on time and correctly. Gotta be on top of your paperwork, for sure. We average 6500-7000 miles a week. We got a brand new truck with only 12 miles on it. Equipped with an inverter, we added a fridge, 24" flat screen TV, microwave, toaster oven. We communicate with our dispatch daily, and they couldn't be more helpful. As soon as we drop a load we always have a new trip plan waiting. You get out of any company what you put into it. I can't stress enough how being successful in trucking is 99% attitude.

I'll bet you work in the office, or are a recruiter.

Because typically when someone comes on here singing high praises about a bottom feeder outfit like Covenant, it's an office monkey doing damage control.

I did a refresher through Covenant, but didn't stay on as a driver. For one, teaming is not my thing and I was offered a solo dedicated account run out of refresher training that mysteriously "disappeared", leaving only team positions. For another, one of the other refresher training drivers in my class hit the side of the bridge leaving the White House (HQ) during his driving test and STILL passed.

Any carrier that is that blatant about putting profit above safety of their drivers and other roadway users can do without my services.

@rgreider, you've said all the good things you like about Covenant. What are things you don't like about them ?
