Is there some sort of a website where I can put in my neighbor's truck to find out if it is covered by a recall?
We are dealing with a 2016 Freightlinter Cascadia Evolution with a DD15 motor. Last six of the VIN are HF6666.

A year or two back this particular truck experienced a water leak along the upper left corner of the windshield, which has since been fixed. However, it appear that water was able to travel down the inside of the A-pillar, where it eventually found its way into the SAM Chassis. As a result, the owner now has a trouble code indicating no communication with SAM Chassis, and we've got blinking lights all over the place.

Also, I found a document on the Internet (see attached) which seems to indicate that a recall was issued for earlier models experiencing this same exact problem, but I can seem to find information indicating whether or not this particular truck might be covered by the recall. I wanted to have some solid concrete information before calling the dealership, and they tell us "NO" without really looking into it on their end. - Any info greatly appreciated.

They're was no recall that I know of, and yeah, near 10 years later, even if they did at one time. Not gonna cover it now

Just replace it and be done. It's an hour job at best

The only thing I was able to find for this VIN was a campaign that was done for the brake switch--which is completely unrelated.

As per the SAMCHAS, a baseline configuration is spec'd to the truck and here is the P/N you can order:

Thanks, it looks like this is now the best option, and thing else we are just spinning our wheels and waisting time.
