I used a CPA that was out of state. I don't have to pay state taxes in WA either so she didn't need to know about that. Just Federal.

I mailed my paperwork. She scans and stores what is needed.

Do you have a business... There is a CPA society in San Antonio call them and ask for a recommendation.

    Cottonmouth85 Thanks this.

Call me old school, I'd like to actually meet with someone face to face.
I actually did get a list of recommendations from the CPA society and some recommendations from friends. I'm currently interviewing to find the best match for me.

There are some BIG TIME lemons on that CPA society as well.

    Learned that the hard way.

I have a good guy now, but he's here in Phoenix. Actually Scottsdale.

I know you right. Some people get cought up in thinking bigger firm, more expensive = better.

Actually not true. On personal income there is no income tax, but as a business you have to file and possibly pay the state B&O tax and PUC tax. I say possibly pay because there are a couple exceptions that you only have to file but don't have to pay.

Now if you're a W2 driver you don't need to worry about any of those taxes.

    Hello Dave,

We have lawyers, Mechanics, IFTA, the whole setup available for Carriers, but I've never been asked about a CPA for drivers in AZ. Just out of curiosity and in case someone else asks, what company is your contact through? Assuming you like his work. :)
