Does your husband snore at night? He could be a bigger risk to the trainer if he has undiagnosed Sleep Apnea. Its being treated. Being new your husband is a bigger safety risk than the guy treating his medical condition. He has a lot more to worry about than a CPAP machine.

It was not a worry for my husband, I was just asking for my own peace of mind, Not looking to stir the pot, just asking a question.
-
feel free to ask questions you will get good answers most of the time. Its understandable about you worrying about your husband, my wife is the same way still after 10 yearsgeneral's wife Thanks this. -
Not really getting that feeling. We are new to this, and I have questions. But, some people on here act like I am trying to cause problems by asking them. There was a reason I didn't use names or company names.

No problems in asking. Its very good his trainer is using the CPAP machine, but he's trying to avoid issues with his medical clearance. Can't say I blame him. If the carrier knew, they'd want him to go through another medical. That would mean needing to show compliance with the machine's use.
general's wife Thanks this. -
there are alot of good guys and gals on here, then there are people who try to criticize too. Just take what you think is good advice and just let the bad stuff go away.

Fortunately medical certification is on my dime at my company so my CPAP is a non issue.

As a fellow Cpap user I can promise you your husband is much safer if his trainer is using the cpap then if he isn't. Your husband should probably worry if he finds out he isn't using the device. There could be a number of reasons why the company doesn't know but my guess would be it could havesomething to do with the fact that drivers with apnea only get one year cards or he could be shut down 2-4 weeks until there is enough data on his card to show complience

Thanks for this info. My husband is considering a 2nd career in truck driving and has used a cpap for about 8 years, now. Makes him feel like a new man.Jackofalltrades1977 and 48Packard Thank this.

If my CPAP was an issue with a company I'd find a new company.
Good question though. As mentioned previously, feel reassured that the guy is being treated for a serious condition that could have horrible and far reaching implications if ignored or untreated.Rollover the Original, slomocopshow and 48Packard Thank this.
