therein lies the driver shortage. the shortage is guys that'll do it for 18cpm.

the guys that will are in fact the reason for the hos and eld's. because a lot of them can't even read english, let alone fill out a form in one.

The people who drive for these shady outfits have a criminal background or something else going on so most companies won't take them. I watch a lot of YouTube videos and most like to announce they have felonies and were locked up in Federal pens.

I drove for CR England four years ago. Got my cdl and training from them.

$62 a day while with trainer.

After that a friend and I did team otr making 30 cents a mile split for a few months. Averaged about $500 a week net,

After six months from the day I got my cdl I was free to leave, it was quite a short contract and they paid for all the training.

14 is accurate for teams (as of 2 years ago) still very low equates to 28split which many companies start 25 to 30 for teams (50 to 60 split)

    Not everyone.

Ive been one of those people. Just to get out on to the big road again. I usually knew it was a shady and was intending for the most part to be gone once another better company saw that I was actively working as a CDL driver.

Keep in mind there was a small three man Paving outfit with two dumptrucks, trailers and some equiptment plus a farm for me to fall back on at any time, even today I could probably go to work in the mack, although we are probably two people now that snowball is passed on. I think they are getting ready to change a law or write a new one where all CDL drivers must have some kind of DAC or something following him. That was one reason why I was successful with the paving fallback, no DAC in sight or cared for. I had once 7 points worth of tickets that took 3 pages of my DMV driving record among other things, OTR companies fainted when they pulled my record, then laughed at me.

Not a nice funny haha laugh but more like the you are effed so bad laugh...

    Rocknroller4 Thanks this.
