I had $5500 in my maintenance account.... and I knew and had accounted for about $1500 of that going away... but they took it all, right down to the penny.... after being in the car business, as a service manager, it appeared that they checked my account, and just added up charges and useless crap until they hit my number.

I am sorry, but I have heard those rumors before, back in the day we had to get rumors off the CB Radio that it seems most do not use anymore, and we always believed them back then too........

My daddy always said "only believe half of what you see, and none of what you hear". Never a truer word spoken.

I can only say that they treated me fair back then, but that was 12 years ago. I read later where you had those miles in 6 months, so you were not sitting a lot and waiting on freight.

I got on that I-80 turn, never went past SLC going west, and it was good miles.

I've been wondering if it's possible to make a living off the mega-fleets by simply signing up in these types of forums and posting comments to counter anybody's accusations or statements that make a company look bad. I'm kind of curious how much the job would pay. You know, like a professional blogger, or an "anonymous company spokesman". I hear the Obama administration employs such people to infiltrate political forums and spread lies to make him look like he's anything less than a tyrant.

Maybe Cornelius could help me out with that question. :biggrin_25525: Where do I sign up?

No, my wife and I were on a dedicated account for PODS, pulling a flatbed. Miles were between 4500-5000 a week. Unfortunately, we only took home about $350 a week each after all the CRE stuff was pulled out... and then they whacked my entire maintenance account.

Me too! Then, as if you and I knew each other, we could talk about loser drivers who weren't making it and about how we were frequently meeting up at truck stop diners to count each other's money!

I haven't seen any active drivers from CRE, including the ones posting in this thread, disputing the number of rollovers.

Yeah, but either way, thats why we still get insurance. I guess it slipped your mind that almost anyone can get insurance, it just matters how much you will end up paying for it.

Just like leasing as a team with England, Its really not that hard.

Not expecting it to add credibility. Dont need help in that department.

Yeah, it is a lot. Thats why I feel England really needs to put higher standards in place so they dont hire people like this, but on the other hand, England is a big company so, in a lot of ways, this many accidents really isnt as bad as it seems.

The worse thing is, if England did get stricter in their hiring process, we'd see a lot more "nobody will hire me" threads.
I wouldnt say England isnt totally free from some of the blame, because there are some things England needs to change as well.
Again, there is no preverbial magic 8 ball that they can ask to see which people are gonna cost them money or make them money.

And yes, like I said, I am concerned because Im working for the company that this is happening to.
Good, because I wasnt threatening you in anyway. That was merely a statement to you and so many others about saying my 2 yeas experience isnt enough to have a bit of understanding about how this industry works. You dont need to be in it for 50+ years to know whats going on.
No chest thumping here, man. Just tired of hearing lies.

Sorry, I didnt know all you did was a 6 month demo. Maybe you said it somewhere and i missed it....

We're currently paying 12cpm on varible mileage. It would probly be less than that, but we missed out on a few safety meetings so we havent accumulated the points that we shoulda gotten.

I dont have any info on you, thats why Im asking. Im asking you to elaborate and explain why running those miles in 6 months and only made what you made. Apparently, you made something to rack up over 5 grand in your maintenence account in 6 months. Thats pretty impressive, it took us almost the first year to get that much.

The answers and reasons to those statements in that quote.^^^^^ But if you dont want to, I understand.

Boo Hoo!!!! Did you pay for that room? Where you staying in that room for an expected "Hilton" experience or where you just using it for a place to sleep while you were there for orientation and getting a job? I got my answer, but I'll let you explain.

But Im curious. Did you sign up as a team with your wife before you showed up there? I'll let you answer that question before I ask the rest of mine.

Again, if so many people would spend more time reading the contract and really puttin some effort into thinking about what they got themselves into, they wouldnt need all that security.
I feel bad for a lot of folks but is it really my responsibility to give care to everyone?

Although Im probly not gonna get it, I would rather hear it from you. I dont prefer second or third hand information. Too many things get twisted around, ya know??

Go right ahead. Yer not hurting me by doing it, as a matter of fact, as i said in that last discussion you and i had in a similar thread, your probly doing the company a favor.

Its cool!!! But still, most people realize things like that BEFORE they post. When in doubt, read it again.

Exactly. No need to say more.

Ok, where did it go? I have a hard time believing that you had repairs that matched perfectly as what was in your maint account.

    Well, Ronin?

Here we go again. Why does it bother you so much that there are people making a decent living with a company like this? Im not defending this company, just expressing my extreme curiosity why some people cant.

But if you cant make better comments than this, then please refrain from posting. Yer only amusing the the crowd that believes in nonsense like this.
