I was turned down by Roehl and Prime because I only have 8 months of work history. CRST doesn't accept people from illinois for cdl training.

I hate when people come on here and their very first option is the least-talked-about-in-a-nice-way companies. Smh do some research, sir.

Check SNI out as well. It's a decent company, are you willing to do flatbed?

How old are you to only have an 8 month work history? Do you know what creative writing is?

    C. R. England is a company that has had lots of problems in the past. They are being sued. That does not mean that if it is your only choice you should pass on it. I am sure a KKK member would take the hand of a black man if he was drowning. (that was not meant to be racist but was the only thing I could think of to drive the point home) Do what you have to do to survive.

You need a way into the industry. Working for CR England could be your door. I would push you to Swift myself but fact is it doesn't matter. New drivers are need in the system. If you can survive for two years there are lots of good jobs out there. Get hired, keep your head down and your eyes open. Don't trust anyone with your personal business. Survive and move on.

    Welcome to trucking.

Another $1250????? Maybe your state is different buy here (VA) if you only botched your skills but passed the pretrip you only have to go on the road for the second time. I failed my first try (rubbed last cone on the curve back) but only had to pay $100 to retake the road portion of the test. $50 of it was the DMV the other $50 went to the school. I know here if you fail 3 times per DMV you have to do another 40hrs of school but then get 3 more attempts. I'd call another driving school to see if you can use them for the road test. I'd assume you could do a private lesson or two then retake.

Tough to not agree with this. Some folks really do have 1 Option and It's CRE. Being employed still better then sucking off of us tax payers.

    OP, Keep us updated.
