Why didn't the trainer (your nephew) make him stay in the truck while he backed in and dealt with the receiver since he was the sober one?

I read a recent report on Vision 2010 by Qualcomm. In the report Dustin England, CR Enland's safety guy, said CRE had reduced it's OOS rate by 75% since they began to use QualCom. The report didn't specify if he meant Driver OOS rate or Vehicle OOS rate. Best I can cipher from CRE's SAFESTAT is that their Driver OOS rate went down only about 25%. That's at least an improvement but, wait, hold your applause....their Vehicle OOS rate actually went up! Dustin, Dustin, Dustin.....a SAFESTAT score is like a golf score, okay?

idk i guess because it was part of the training to learn how to deliver loads and nephew was unaware of his condition and not experienced enough to watch for things like this

Pack everything you own into the sleeper and drive down to Honduras.

That's $700 to start with. Then there's the mileage, the charge for the truck payment until it's leased again, and the insurance. Not to mention an $800 engine wash. By the time they're finished it will be around $5,000.00 or more.

Just goes to show you need to stay away from these driver trainer positions.

You are saddled with all the responsibility of a teacher, mentor, manager, and in some cases - babysitter, parent, case officer, psychologist ...

There are no "big bucks" in training students - not for all the headaches.

And I can't believe how some companies charge "trainers" a fee for dealing with what is only the companies responsibility - unreal.

Hopefully his credit is already crap and does not care what England does to it. I'd tell them to shove their fees you know where. It's their truck why should the driver pay for them to have it transported to where they want.:biggrin_25513:
