Thanks for the heads up on the school in salinas! The company hires grads of that particular school.

Bike? As in bicycle? Ouch! That's a long way to bike everyday. Isn't there some public transit that runs between Monterey and Salinas? If not I would look into buying a cheap car or motorcycle for a few hundred bux to commute with.

only thing is if you do go to a school such as CREngland, Prime, etc...
then quit right after you get your CDL...guess what you never graduated their school and will report it as such...
good luck getting hired with that info on you...

For $2000 you could get a private school Class A and not be committed to drive OTR for a year or more. Read the advice here as it is second to none.

If Swift is better, that's news to me. Swift set the model that all these companies use now days.

    Hey Beau,

Yeah you are looking for something very particular. Company Sponsored wouldn't be the best bet if you already have something lined up.

Try to find a school in your area that is about $1500 to $2000.00. I would strongly urge against anything lower than $3,000 but we all have to work with budgets :-/

Western Pacific Truck School or Western Truck School (They are diff.)would be your best bet in quality. Don't know about price through.

    Best of luck to you.
