There's no way any of them are getting proper rest. So when it's time for the actual "trainer" (6 months exp. himself) to sleep the other 2 newbies are in control?

How in the world did this get past the DOT?

I don't team because I don't sleep well while in motion....

And I don't even like my relatives enough to give up that much personal space......that's already limited as it is with one.... now cut that by a third? WTF?

The way my trainer did it wasn't the most horrible thing ever. I would work for 8 hours, my fellow trainee would work for 8 hours, and then the truck would stop for 8 hours. This is back when DOT breaks were 8 hours.

My trainer was making BANK, I'm sure.

Has anyone ordered a truck in a single person configuration?

You order it with no mattress on the top bunk. Top bunk makes a great shelf. I have 4 of those plastic cabinets set up on my top bunk.

I put my second mattress in storage (along with my chains, and other winter wear/gear; in the off season). It's even still in it's original wrap...

I was wondering if there is a way to configure it without the second seat...

    Upinsmoke Thanks this.

It is a trainer truck and they have three bunks check it out on you tube. I can hardly believe they put three in that tiny space.

Yep ... Everything on a truck is speced. If you don't order a second seat, you don't get one. I ordered a low end mount, without the rubber covering, so I can use the space under the second seat for storage.
