I was looking into them and it looks like they are in Wisconsin. Do they have anything on the west coast?

They have terminals in Indiana and Phoenix as well. I lived in Utah, and they flew me (yes, flew, no greyhound) :) to Gary, Indiana for training. You'd either go to Gary, Marshfield or Phoenix.

If you can deal with a lot of BS with the CRE process, and you will have clearly been warned about it before going into it, it might indeed work for you as a stepping stone to a better company after doing 6 months to a year with CRE. Having been there and gone through their program in Burns Harbor (Indiana), I don't recommend it to anyone UNLESS it's the absolute last option they have and they're prepared to handle LOTS-of-BS... they did help me get my CDL and I'm now working in a much better place... but it was far from an easy and fun journey.

I've been driving for Swift for a little over a year, and they're not nearly as bad as their online reputation would lead you to be.

In fact, the only down side I found with Swift is that their pay rate for the first six months or so is behind that of most starter companies, but they are in the middle of the pack after a year. However, if you get on a dedicated account, the pay is usually quite a bit better, and Swift has been very aggressive about building their dedicated fleet.

Yes, you can do better than Swift when you are first starting out. But you can also do a whole lot worse.
