Scariest moment in the road: a tornado crossed the highway a hundred yards in front of me lifting the rear of a dry van so there was 7 to 10 feet of air under the tires. Give the guy credit, when it came down he just kept on rolling. I hit the next exit and found a building to hide behind.

Funniest moment on the road...in retrospect. Had been running myself very very hard. 16 to 20 hour days for weeks at a time. 4 round trips a week from the akron/canton area to chicagoland. All back roads and around every scale cause i was only 19 therefore only had an intrastate license. That trip takes forever when you can't run the big road and you got a 238 detroit pulling 50k lbs of steel. In middle of the night I stopped in a rest area on us 30 in western ohio, parallel parked along the curb. Think it was 30, heck it might of been 224. Anyway i laid my head down over the steering wheel to get a short nap, knew if i climbed in the bunk i wouldn't wake up for a good 8 hours and only had 2 to spare. My dad saw my truck and decided to be funny. He nosed right up to me in his k100. 2 cabovers nosed together means the front of his truck is less than 2 feet from my face. He turned on all his lights and laid into the airhorn, which of course woke me up and as i opened up my eyes all i could see was the front of this truck so close i could reach out and touch it. I hit the brake pedal so hard it blew out a pancake in the brake chamber. I wanted to fn kill him and if not for the fact that i knew I'd never be big enough to take on the old man i may have tried right then. Come to think of it that was, at the moment scarier than the #### tornado. But funny now, 20 years later.

Don't worry too much, the Internet is still under the control of the exact people it always has been, the Feds just officially finally stopped overseeing them, but practically speaking they have been autonomous for years.
It used to be run by the US government, but then a non-profit company was set up (ICANN) to administer domain registration and such, and they are still in charge.

Basically and practically, it has changed nothing!
Stuff you post has always been able to be used against you, if someone was trying to get you in trouble. Lol

Bottom line, don't believe most of what goes across Facebook, or most websites for that matter... ;)

    Haha #### that's hilarious.

Not the tornado one. I am terrified of tornadoes. It's my only Hangup if I must get a year OTR.

The funny story reminded me of this. The guy looks super stoned too.

I knew a guy that done a dedicated Witchita Ks. route.Well,he pulled of I35 to "take a leak" on a side road, dark with trees around.Next thing he knows,a cop car flies up behind him, officer jumps out with gun drawn.Yells, put your hands on the hood, starts frisk in him.He says, what did I do(he never even had time to take a leak,so that wasn't it.Another cop pulls up,tell him "Shut up"! Anyway: Apparently He was using a rental truck for the last 2 weeks that had been reported stolen.Yet,the company Ideal Lease never removed the "stolen" report. So,cops were looking for it.LOL

A guy I know that used to drive for Conway back in the late 80's swears a Sasquatch or Bigfoot ran out in the road in front of him. This was at 3am on highway 12 near Mossy rock Wa,near Wite Pass.He wasn't the type of guy to ever lie or exaggerate.

I knew a guy that wasnt a story teller, a liar, and was a great man. He rarely spoke about it, but those that knew him as a young guy said he came back from a hunting trip and was never the same. He claimed he watched a Sasquatch type beast from a deer stand eating a fox. Said it looked human / bear. His wife claimed it terrified him to the point where he never went deer hunting again.

I got him to talk about it once. He looked at me and just said, it happened.

I believe the guy you're speaking about.
