Trust me--they did you a favor! There are much better company's to start out with to get your training done even with your age bein 21. My advice would be try another company and see what they say!

If they are treating you this way, and you havent even started, why continue pursuing them? Find a friendly, professional company to work with!
Good luck! -
youngtrucker-
On this site we have listed a DAC fix company listed. I recently ran mine for the heck of it just to see what was about. They are very professional and quick. They will mail you listings of past company checks, etc... You will see the companie(s) you worked for, what they say about you,etc... If there is an error on it they will try to help you get it corrected. -
This is what I would do...
I would call CRST corporate office and get in touch with the highest persona available.. I would explain the situation to them and explain that you have already been to the police station and had your record verified.. Tell them the recruiter refuses to give you any information and even has hung up on you.. Tell them you would like to clear this up before having to contact a attorney to clear up the issue becuase you have no ideal what criminal information CRST is referring to...
Go over your recruiters head... make it happen just don't rely on the recruiting office.... -
Look online for their company's info. Find the name of the president, vice-presidient, or the person in charge of the safety dept. Yes you can call them, however, first send the pres a certified letter with return receipt requested concerning what happened. Give him your full legal name, your date of birth, your social security number, and your driver's license number and state. Explain to him (or her, whatever the case may be) about what happened, that you were suddenly told you have a criminal background when you don't, include a COPY ONLY of the police report you had run, including the name of the officer who ran it, the date it was done, and the city and state it was done in. Make sure you request from them in writing the reason they denied you employment, a copy of your DAC report, and any other reports they used to base their decision on. Don't be hostile, but tell them that you would like to get this resolved without resorting to an attorney and going to court. You don't want your record mistakenly tarnished by someone else's identity.
When you send the letter return receipt, make sure you specify at the post office that you want it signed for by a live person at the company, either the person it is directed to or an immediate underling. That way you know it has been delivered. After you receive the confirmation card back that it was signed for then call that person and talk with them.
Most of all, good luck.

in responce to t_wilsons post, i dont think that i would include the name of the officer or the dept that ran a criminal background. These are only to be run for "OFFICIAL " business and having a family member (uncle ) obtain a NCIC or CII or FBI background might be grounds for dismissal for unauthorized use of this info...just my 0.02 worth.
But you need to get this cleared up soon. -

Speeding Ticket Central (do a Google search for their DAC page)
USIS Commercial Services is subject to the FACT Act file disclosure requirements. Upon request to USIS, a consumer is entitled to receive a free copy of his or her DAC report once every twelve months. Additional copies may be provided within the subsequent twelve month period, subject to a $9.50 charge. There are other circumstances under which a consumer may be entitled to free copies of their file.
USIS only maintains consumer files for individuals who have applied for employment with their customers. As a result, your particular file may not be available through USIS if you have not applied for employment with one of their customers. To request a copy of your DAC report you must send them a written request including a copy of your Social Security card and Drivers License. To my knowledge this is the only way to receive your report unless you can persuade someone at a trucking company to obtain it for you.

It takes ten days to two weeks to receive your DAC report.
If you have fraudlent infromation on your DAC report you need to first follow the dispute resolution procedures. Be careful that just because something has been removed from your DAC does not mean that you do not need to put it on your application.
If your new employer finds out by other means you may be fired for filling out a false application. -
I can understand why you want to get this cleared up with CRST. However, I would hope that you would pay attention to others advice in this thread and don't even consider going to work for them! I'm afraid you will be very unhappy there.
Look at how you are being treated now, and think how much worse it will be when you are looking for a paycheck from them.
Good Luck.
