I've not had it done to me but I've seen it done to others. They will un-tarp it if you refuse. No matter what you say or do though, they won't re-tarp it.

It's really better if you do the un-tarping yourself. If you do it, usually all they require is to just loosen the bottom where they can see under under it. If they do it, they are apt to pull the tarp completely off just for meanness. More times than not in these situations, it's better to go with the grain than against it if at all possible. Now if you are in fact trying to hide something under that tarp, you'll have to use your own judgement on how much resistance to apply to the situation.

How about NO securement? Took 3 different pics over a course of time, dozer, excavator, and this backhoe, all in the same state....... No chains on the rear of machine, and none on the rear boom or bucket. Doing 45-50 mph like it was nothing.

    Idiot.

He'll bounce that thing right off of there, and hopefully not on anybody else.

Keep in mind I seen 3 such things in the same area of the same state! Followed one guy with a 1 ton pulling a gooseneck trailer, didn't pay much attention until we came to a stop sign. He applied his brakes a little hard for some reason, that dozer took off and rolled forward all the way to the front and stopped against the the neck. Trailer was low in the front then with all that weight on the front. 3rd one I seen was at the cross roads out on lower bay rd, I stopped at the convenient mart to get coffee, I walk out and here is a lowboy with a excavator about the size of a 150 Kobelco setting in the lot, how many chains were on it you ask????? NOT 1 single chain!!! And yes I looked since I pull a lowboy myself at times. All 3 of these was in the area of Waveland, Mississippi. Seen some reckless stuff while working there. But it is everywhere too. Be safe out there.

Actually, that looks like some of the structural steel loads I've pulled. Pre-Fab gas station canopies. The guys would secure as they loaded in the shop. Difficult to secure different lengths/angles after its all loaded.Never had a problem.

Last week going south on 294, 53' flat with two HUMMER's on it. Every time he'd hit the brakes (rush hour in Chicago) the back HUMMER would hit the front one!!!!!

Tried getting him on CB but, no luck!!!!
