CRE, CFI, Schneider...

I've been hearing some pretty good reports on Central Refrigerated from this site. They are owned by Swift, but that doesn't seem to have much of a negative effect. And they do provide training.

I've ran into the same problem with the hiring area, and Central said they hire everywhere in the US. So...something to think about.

in orientation at england a guy told them he just wanted ny runs, you need a special truck for that, shorter wheel base smaller sleeper.
but they were happy to hear that was all he wanted.

 

if you already have a CDL, going to school again to get your CDL does not make sense. What really matters is the road experience after 1yr of OTR you really aren't gonna get that much better and it only gets easier.

For the guy with felonies: hit the intermodal yards hard and I'm sure someone will hire you, even if it's only dock work or yard work. -you need to get your foot in the door somewhere.
