Cool. Thanks! I get through that area a bunch and it would be nice to have another place to do my 30 and take a shower while parked in the fuel island.

    Seriously, thanks for the update.

It is not the truck stops place to monitor the two week steering wheel holders, and the brain dead monkeys they put behind the wheel. The real issue is the lack of proper training, stupidity (no doctor, psychologist, or mechanic can fix this issue), reliance upon technology in today's society to do everything but wipe their b*** for them. Ohhh!, wait i heard on Fox news that Google Android was coming out with an app to wipe your rear end.

I was hearing six months, but that was before the closing got delayed. Looks like the master plan is going to require a lot of work. Will try and get pics.

Manueving the Queen Mary /Western Star 4900 SB with limited Rudder swing is a Frikin Joy in these packed Pilots and such

That’s why I go for the pull throughs and try to catch parking early on.

Came in at 2 am to a Pilot above Indianapolis after a pump out and being booted off the property.

Did 5 Laps sizing up the 3 spots left at that hour.

Even with a wide open entrance the short distance from the trucks in front of me got me pinned in Hard halfway into the hole.

Got out and looked 10 times and tried to get it in the hole

Just didn’t have the hard cut that these new trucks have. And the SB is like driving a 379 ext hood with 18 more inches hanging over the bow.

Once I called off the parking maneuver it took a 40 point turn hairs from the parked truck in front of me to get out of the hole.

I feel ya dude. This freightliner is the same way. 280 inch wheel base and limited turning arc. I've owned longhood w900s and exhd 379s but nothing that has a bad of wheel turn arc as this classic. I don't even try at those small pilots and loves anymore. If i got 2 free spots i can get it in, but when the other fills i won't be able to get back out.

My biggest fear if I ever did OTR is trying to find decent parking.

Just plan accordingly. I normally pick 3 stopping distances to park. Near, Normal, and Far. I have a plan for each. Then if I was loaded quickly and good traffic conditions exist I can go far. I just do it on the fly with the trucker path app. I normally know if I’m going to have to pay for parking 4 hours ahead of my arrival. That gives me plenty of time to try one of my other parking options for free and still make my delivery on time.

Moist walmarts no longer allow overnight parking. They got tired of landscaping damage and pee bottles.
