Credit Checking Shipper, what steps do you take?

Hey all,

I was in the process of starting a freight broker business and was wondering if anyone does credit checks on shippers? If so, what's the steps you take to ensuring a shipper is credit worthy?

You can find outfits who do a weekly or monthly credit list on brokers/shippers and trucking companies.

Awesome, thanks I actually looked into factoring with Apex, may have to if they do credit checks.

Any suggestions for someone who doesn't want to factor?

I know of the DUNS avenue, just not sure how many shippers actually have accounts with them...

We use CarrierPro app. Gives you up to date credit ratings on shippers/brokers
