Probably Joe. So had a bad day. Had load going to dacula GA for 1600. Was 600 miles out so started 0300 eat right after 10 hour. Get to Dalton GA at about 1400 boom tire blows....up against 14 so changed tire then parked. Got to babysit this load till new appointment time....bad part is I had a preplan out of social circle to Lakeland fl. Been begging to go to fl and now this happens. Oh well perils of trucking I guess

I finally got to watch about 30 minutes of the race after that darned movie ended. As soon as the credits started rolling I grabbed the remote. The driver that was so entranced with the movie didn't stick around to watch any of the roundy round action. He was mumbling something or another as he walked out..haha

I decided to split outta there before the race was complete so as to avoid traffic. Good thing because I65 sucked from north of Lebanon to darn near Hebron! I made it to the Romeoville drop yard with 54 minutes on my 14. I figured I lost about 30 minutes in traffic. Oh well staged about 2 miles from the cons and my next load is out of there to St. James, MO for a same day drop. I'm asking for a load through Wilmer so I can check in at the office.

I finished crossing Missouri and stopped to do laundry in Kansas City. Was not busy there today. After getting my clothes washed, I went on up to Omaha and am now parked at the Hunt Transportation yard. I am 2 or less miles from my delivery at the Omaha Steaks warehouse.

You must have some pretty high quality meat in your trailer if you're going to Omaha Steaks. I bet they never get overages on that stuff.

With the price of beef now a days, I am surprised they didn't have an armed escort tailing him.

It's actually Coconut Shrimp...but I know what you mean.

My mother buys from them, and I looked at their website recently...talk about premium pricing....

A vendor at my wife's farmers market actually sells his own home grown beef. He lives and farms in central IL and ships it to various locations in our area, then flys down and spends a couple weeks at a time bouncing to farmers markets around the state...he stores his product with other vendors in a freezer he provides, then pays those vendors with free meat...his prices are high enough that he still makes a big profit...but he always sells out because it is grain fed, hormone and chemical free, farm raised beef...people swear it tastes better, but I can't tell the difference.

That would be some great beef, if it is well marbled, and well aged, otherwise it will taste just like wal mart beef.

We have a local butcher shop, best meat around. They kill the hogs in the back.

Heard from my realitor?, they accepted my offer on 9 acres.

Well, I got to Omaha Steaks, and after opening the trailer and inspecting the product, they sealed it up again. Told me the were re-consigning it to another storage facility and gave me directions to a Millard Refrigerated Service warehouse on the other side of town. Went there and got unloaded right away...no waiting and now I will get paid for a stop, also.

My new load picks up in Schuyler, NE (in dock as I type) and delivers Thursday morning in Elkton, MD. Gives me 2,743 for the week now. I am scheduled for time off on Monday (8/4) so they can't really keep me on the East Coast!

    My last 4 weeks: 3,940; 3,417; 2,587 and 2,743.
