I need to give credit where credit is due. This week's check had over 3000 miles on it. Some of it was a carry over from week before. They asked if I wanted to cut short my home time and I said sure if you can get me through home on a load before. They did. Unloaded 70 miles away and then drove home and took two days off. Nice to see a plan come together. I am sure it was my biggest check that included hometime.

I am still kinda shakin ....I am lucky to be alive. My split second reaction saved me from a direct head on collision with a 4-wheeler that steered half way into my lane at 55 mph. The car took out the side of my trailer and head on with the 2nd vehicle behind me ......SHEEEEET !

I had someone come into my lane once...but it was in town, around a curve, and speeds were under 30mph...sideswiped my trailer and just kept going; I pulled over and waited 10 minutes, then called the cops and drove the last 1/2 mile to my pickup location.

    Glad you're okay.

I'm glad you're ok too,. sounds like it didn't hurt the tractor, which is great., but we do need pictures.

I met a new hire yesterday in Deland. His 1st load is from Auburndale, Fl to tcall at New Kingstown. Why the tcall? Sleep study. I asked him if they offered him the standard 60 day window to get it done in and he said No. He said they would have sent him straight to New Kingstown from orientation in Lenoir City if New Kingstown would've had an opening. This is the 1st driver to tell me this.

They must have changed things since I hired on here 2 years ago. The way it was explained to me at the time is they won't push you to the sleep study IMMEDIATELY because they realize you are a new hire and probably could use a few decent paychecks before getting shutdown for a few days. I think it was about a month between hiring on and getting to New Kingstown for the sleep study.
