On my two annual reviews thus far, there wasn't anything about my miles per month brought up, and last year it was low, real low, well below the minimum. I have a feeling it's like that again, I never look at my MMR anymore, maybe I should take a look at it now...

I'm 6 days away from going home and they're doing that BS where they try to keep you close to home. Just got a preplan for a load from Shelby OH to N. Vernon, IN... 39 MT 250 loaded... This is why I never want to go home. This is the part when I think about going to do what freightwhipper is doing...but then I realize that we're on the verge of a global economic collapse...

Got a friend who drives for a private fleet for a food company (no, it's not Tyson) bugging me to come over... I'd start at .48 per prac mile, and get a 68mph truck that has an APU... says she gets guaranteed detention, doesn't a whole lot, and almost always is over 3000 miles for the week... maybe working for a food company wouldn't be such a bad idea given the current economic climate...

But that leads me to my next question... those of you on national RDO21... are you still getting a lot of loads that drop and hook on both ends? I noticed a big shift toward almost all of my loads being live on at least one, if not both ends about a year to a year and a half ago... drop and hooks were really the only thing I can truly say that were keeping me here...if I don't notice an increase, soon, and given the current economic climate...I might think more seriously about heading over to said food company. After all, regardless of what the economy does... everybody still has to eat.

Rare to get a load that's drop and hook on both ends.

If the World economy really starts to collapse it won't be for long. Every time it's happened in the past the big powers like the USA,, Russia, China, etc, will find an excuse to start a war somehow or another. There's lot's of hotspots all around the world just waiting for right spark to set off the fireworks. Most likely after the next election. Sadly it's the little people who always suffer the most. Wars.always stimulate economic activity.

I used to hate Cheney for starting unnecessary wars, but now I'd love to see us in a war to get crude oil over the $100 mark.

Be careful about what you wish for. You might just get it. Just not the way you expected it though.

Just read through the last 8 or so pages of his thread... apparently The Force is strong in Schneider's trolls. I kinda feel bad for him but then again he's on his own journey of his own volition. I thought about putting my 2 cents in anyway but I'm not interested in picking up any second-hand trolling.
