I think both of them have fairly new equipment. Crete ordered up a batch of new trucks last year. They were stacked like cord wood at the Lincoln HQ. I know that all their ProStars they ordered had the International battery powered HVAC for no idle cooling/heat. Crete also has a lot of Walmart dedicated runs.

I really have no dog in this hunt, as I would drive for neither for various reasons. Since US Xpress decided to join up with JB Hunt, Schneider, Maverick, and Knight to form a slick little lobbying group called "Alliance for Driver Safety and Security" which is a group that is trying to get the US Senate to pass mandatory EOBR use for every commercial truck heavier than 10,000 lb, I decided that they are a company that I will never pull for.... either in their truck, in mine, or one of their brokered out loads.

I use an EOBR, but mandates to mess with your competition is downright un-American. If they want to use an EOBR, then go for it. But to get the Government to do your dirty work for you and force something on to the rest of trucking is really low.
