Knight, bear with me. I THINK my pay dropped by about three cents per mile or so when I joined the western fleet. The drop in pay have been only two cents. But it DID drop. The drop almost made it not worth it. I even began to suspect they were keeping western drivers out much longer than necessary so they'd cry uncle and go on the western fleet. They then could be paid less. I don't think there is much creedence in this, as I really DID stay out west when I got on the western fleet. Also, I rarely did repowers or drop east-bound loads for others to finish. If I would have been doing that sort of thing, I'd have an argument. Other Crete drivers may have felt the same way or feel the same way today.
My main runs were to El Paso from the Salt Lake area and back again. A few times I had loadups in Idaho going to Commie-fornia, but not often. I saw I-5 many times, but 99% of those times, I was on it just in the LA area.
