Work for Carolina Cargo in Rock Hill, SC for a few months to get some seat time and experience. After that more doors will open. Carolina Cargo has made some big changes and pay raises recently. You'll get lots of miles running coast to coast. This company hires drivers in your situation, so you can be upfront with them.

You might get some dog companies after 3 years. Something better after 5 - 7 years as stated above.
If they're older then 10 years. You're pretty much golden. Might be a different story with a history of dui's though.
Look in to your state for possible expungement so you can at least get your criminal history cleaned up.
Go to DMV yourself and get a copy of your record. It's what you should be doing anyways. You have a better chance of being hired when you can provide a copy of your driving record. Saves the company from spending their own money and finding out the driver isn't hireable. Specially when the driver lies.
And learn to write. Your post is one long statement with no paragraphs or sentences. And that's not meant to be rude either.Sirscrapntruckalot and x1Heavy Thank this. -
snowwy has it correctly when he asked you NICELY to learn to write.
Your original post is one big block of letters. This is not a insult. I am a deaf trucker and think in a different language known as ASL, American Sign Language in my head. I have to convert the english to ASL and back again to speak or write. I can fly through the mind way faster than I can write or speak.
But when someone presents me with a rambling block of scribbles, Its really hard to stay on track for me.
What I got out of your block is this. You have DUI's or worse.
Im going to take a big pair of sisscors and go **SNIP** and ask you one simple question.
DID ANY OF THOSE DUI's happen on a CDL ever in your entire lifeime. DID ANY of your CRIMES in felony happen in relation to STEALING? OR committing crimes like drug trafficking and other really seriously outrageous violations for which the FMCSA has clearly defined as either....
Suspension, Revocation, 3, 6 9 or 12 months 2 year, 3 year, 5 year or... LIFETIME BAN from ever tucking a big truck.
IF you ever. Ever get a second DUI in a CMV (Commerical Motor Vehicle) because you cannot put down that shot glass with drinking or stop sticking needles into your arm with drugs... you instantly bought a lifetime ban against you preventing you from ever touching a big truck. It does not matter if you spent 200,000 dollars and bought a tractor trailer. Your state will make sure that you cannot drive it. Or anything with it.
Felons in general come to trucking to build a new life. That is always cool.
But this industry is SERIOUSLY intolerant towards drinking, drugs and crime of certain kinds. IT has to be.
Im assuming you already put that crap behind you. Clean, sober, really sorry, remorse and ready to build a new life driving a big truck.
I hope so. Once you put that CDL into your wallet your first day at the DMV... remember this. You must absolute without any compromise put aside that drug and drink forever and ever until your CDL is finished later in life. You cannot be around drugs or drink with that CDL. You will absolutely be destroyed, if you did not also kill a family or hurt someone doing it.
I am not your enemy. I am not trolling. But that is all I have to work with what you wrote. It's really difficult for me to proceed any further. I wish you the best and look forward to reading of your successes in a better format of writing than one huge block someday. -

thanks for all your answers. Sorry about my spelling. My duis were long ago the most recent about 12 or 15 years ago I do not even know, but rank since 2006. I was however a real drunk I got 5 duis and my 2 felonies were for wire fraud 1 in the mid to late 90s and 1 in 2006 but no trouble what so ever since 2006 thanks again
x1Heavy Thanks this. -
On criminal record. I’m thinking when you get away from the megas. Companies will consider. What’s my rationale?
We had a guy working for us who was on probation. He left and went to work for a company obviously looking for the best. They provide new Volvo’s to attract drivers. Also require at least 2 years experience. They want a spotless driving record for that 2 years in a truck.
