Cross border guys

    While CBP said it only searched about 47,000 devices of the 420 million people who crossed the US border in 2024,

    I'd say the chances of your phone being searched are slim to none unless you give them a good reason to do a search.

    There’s about twenty of us at my terminal that cross the border multiple times a day at multiple locations. In six years, I’ve never had my phone or even truck searched, nor have I heard of it happening to any of our drivers.
    Makes me wonder what kind of red flags these guys who get searched are throwing up.

    The concern is not re-entering Canada,,the problem is crossing into the USA. Not every person in a uniform should have discretionary power.
    The woman held in a US custom cell under the Ambassador bridge for 5 days with her 1 and 5 year old children with her in the cell..she had gone wrong way on bridge….which is not surprising ,,pretty close to Brampton…this was 2 weeks ago

    You left out the most important part that this woman was undocumented and living illegally in the USA. They had every right to lock her up and she also chose to keep her kids with her even though she was given the choice to have another family member pickup the kids.
