I’ve been with them for a little over a month now, and gotta say I like them much better than XPO.

I have a set route, keep the same truck, same trailer and same dock door. I run the Jamestown, ND route of Fargo.

Start at 0600, usually off between 1600-1800 daily. I have 2 days where it’s a little longer time wise, but I go north and south of Jamestown those days.

CCFS is a subsidiary of North American Freight Services. They also own Price Truck Lines and a few others. We have inter-line agreements with Estes and Pitt-Ohio.

Are these the people with the buffalo as a symbol? If so I know they recently bought out Express 2000 in St. Louis and put a terminal in Kansas City.

What’s their pay like these days? I used to occasionally go to an FxF yard that was right next door to CCFS, and at the time (around 2021) they were trying to hire linehaul drivers for something like 50cpm.

That’s the best way to do it. :)

Now cue the FedEx drivers so they can come say “He shouldn’t be pulling the same trailer to the same territory every day. That’s not fair. People could get offended.” :biggrin_25523:

I saw one of my former co-workers from XPO today, and he asked what made Cross Country better than them….

I told him that it’s mostly work-home life balance, not having to work weekends, better schedule and not having to worry if my truck is gonna be there when I get to work.

He told me that 3-4 of the P&D guys are getting called in on Saturdays, and they’re pulling around 60-65hrs a week on top of that.

I know of at least 3 or 4 of the P&D guys that are looking to leave, and possibly a few a linehaul guys.

Does anyone know of any other XPO barns having these issues?

Thought the company had something to do with Bison in Canuckistan.
Checked their website and guess not.
    Weird.

They bought one of our local LTL companies RAC in Denver. Must be doing big things buying these companies up.
