I’d do it again, but I wasn’t rushed. I didn’t need the trailer at the time, had a nice shop, and all last winter to work on it. It would be a whole different matter if that was your only trailer and you were shut down until you got it fixed. In my case, the crossmembers were so bad, I bought another trailer to replace it before I ever started the project.
None of it is hard work, and after the floor is removed you have ample room to work, it just takes a lot of time.beastr123, Another Canadian driver, Red Viking and 1 other person Thank this. -

Insurance said the cross members failed due to rust. So it's not covered. Now I gotta do as much as I can to save some money. I'm renting a trailer from the company I'm leased to for nowAnother Canadian driver, cke and 1951 ford Thank this.

What if you cut out the crossmember figure on one of the side to slide it in as a whole piece. Will it affect the structural integrity of the frame and how much will it cost to replace 33 of them on a 53’ landoll traveling axle trailer
