making 22 cents a mile is not entirely true either they do pay 22 on paper but they take 2 cents back to run per deim. not bad you think until you find out per deim is mandatory. so your actually getting 2o cents a mile or 10 cents split
I agree with squid. What you have to be a squeeky clean saint to get in the bizz? What a man did 10,15,20 yrs. ago is not what is really important it's what he is doing today. Many of us have messed up in the past and paid our dues and walk the straight and narrow today. From my experience in life it's not the mamas boy or the computer whiz and Mr. Clean hands who get the job done ,but those who have been thru alot of hardship in life and know what filthy and callussed hands look like, those who have had their share of problems from their wildwhooly days,it's people like that who get the job done cause they have backbone and dont snap under pressure. What there is not 1 trucker out there at all who one day got carried away with their drinking and got behind the wheel whether it was a truck or car? They just did'nt get caught. The past is gone, dead, buried what matters who are you today!!
