I prefer a coffee without a lid in front of the shifter where the cab rides very well when loaded. Bet him 20 dollars he could not finish a complete upshift to the top and then downshift each gear all the way down to a stop without spilling the coffee.

From this entrance to the freeway to the next exit for the truckstop.

Teaching to double clutch and back just a slow process. I get up out of my sleep every single time he needs me. Just it's starting to wear on me all the help needed with #### that should have been covered. His trainer was a fleece operator didn't teach him ####. My trainer was a Trucker that taught me to be a Trucker and made me go through all kinds of crazy #### from round abouts to switchbacks teaching me to drive this thing.

Then you two are not a proper team.

Once in a while if there is really a problem it is usually interesting enough to get out of the sleeper for.

YOUR partner must be terrified at what to do in a situation if he did not have you to crutch on while you are trying to ignore the crunching and screams.

I should shut up now and leave you to consider this carefully. You two are not a proper team because trainer one taught how to truck to you while trainer two used your partner like a tool to heap miles on his payroll. Basically a steering wheel holder.

THAT might be worth talking to higher officers inside your company, the disparity between your skills and his inadequate training when two trainers were assigned you two to teach to company standards that I hope is set in writing to a mimium of medoricity.

Send the partner to the one who trained you. Wait a few weeks for the verbal cursing and whip cracking to complete it's processing.

    #### that.
I think you should have to go solo for a year before teaming. Hit those obstacles that YOU and you alone have to deal with. Figure out how to un-jam yourself. Struggle a bit. Panic a little when things get dicey. And if you haven't weeded yourself out of the job (because you couldn't fix the situation), then you can team.

But for the love of sleep! Leave your partner alone! He's gotta drive 10:59 too.

I agree with what pattyj j said..."Be a team player offer him some advice."
I wouldn't agree though if you feel your life is in jeopardy..If it is, and it was me I'd be out of that truck at the next rest area..I wouldn't quit, but I'd be asking for a new team driver..

OT..I think it's CRST that now is allowed to let CLP holders drive team...Personally, I'd never, ever team drive with anyone who isn't experienced...

Good luck with whatever you do..

After going thru CRST school do they require all drivers to double clutch? He can shift just as good without double clutching if taught same with floating the gears.Teaching and patience is a great combination and can go along ways and makes for a better driver.

    Concorde has a point.

He requires experience. I'll ship his sleeping ### 700 miles from here and it be there when he wakes up and understands we gotta go... 24 minutes to the good just enough to splash a day's worth of fuel for him. I'll go to bed and forget about the problem. It's not my problem until it's time.

Weaker trainees are a heartache. knock knock... &^%$ yes? Do we stop here for fuel? *&^%$ wtf is here? Dunno it says here on the QC list. Shoves beeping unit into my face... then says we have a ocean of gas still left int he tanks. I explode wht the #### are we doing sitting on our fat wheels this far from that blessed interstate. Let's get this thing back out there now.

Trainee looks very hurt, eyes wide and trembling lip... Aww listen here... it's not about you it's time, we lost 18 mintues sitting on ### worried about fuel we do not need. Let's get out of here.

Trainee Im hungry. Lookw hat you did.. make me hungry. I say I aint made nothing you got off bus three days ago, I don't know you from adam or issac or whatever made you. This damnt ruck is sitting on it's wide ### in addition to my sleep being messed up fo rlittl;e #### that does not matter right now what is wrong with you.

Sniff sniff whipes tear.. snorts... sir please don't yell.. no one yells at me before why are you yelling...

Scraps entire trip for the night hauls the trainee inside the eating place for a paid for meal and a slowly and carefully administered lessons in hsitory of trucking and why we require so much from the truck out there.

Dispatch yells at me in the morning. I open fire with my list of stored up issues finally identified. Someone get this recruit a daddy or a mammy. And someone find me a team driver that eats nails for lunch.
