Ha. Your trainer was an idiot, who you should of reported and gotten fired. Congrats on making it down that 7%. But not everybody gets that lucky. If you would of been fully loaded with icy roads/black ice and that down grade was longer then a mile you probably would be here right now.

Give it a try. But if I would of known better I would of chosen Schneider over CRST, I chose CRST because a friend went through them and didn't know other companies paid for training. But again give it a try but CRST is far from the best company. They hire anybody and every body so they can get that government check.

Well I lucked out and found me another trucking job. Ill be getting a more pay than what I had. It may be different considering I'm doing flatbed but looks like ill be keeping in shape and money in my pocket so I can still pay crst for there "schooling" for those of you that are going to embark this journey. Just go to your local colleges and do your schooling there. Not having any company do it is just insane.

Accually thats not true. I currently work for crst and will be done with this company tomorrow. I have a friend that I went to trucking school with and partnered with that quit 3 months after signing that contract and now works for central refridgerated as a solo driver and no contract. The contract only states that they will take $40 out each week to pay for the housing. There is also a clause in there that states that if you do quit that you cannot drive for another company for 30 days. Your dispatcher will threaten to take you to court and use harsh tones, but its all a scare tactic to scare you into fullfilling your contract, but they wont act appon it.

Don't beat u'rself up. Many experienced businessman have gotten in over their heads with leasing multiple trks from these peeps only to find they're in dire need of repair. I just dragged it up with one such guy and i wish him the best. If you signed for one trk,,,you're ahead of the game by 8 trks! Ken

This person signed on as a student, not as a lease operator.

I have a question. I am a student fresh out of school with CDL A in my hand. Do they make you sign the same contract if you don't need there schooling? I have been pre hired for USX to start next week and just received a call from the CRST recruiter.

    Lol, Good enough for me..Thanks

When the recruiter says specifically not to look up the company online and i should head to a truck stop and find a CRST truck and talk to them! I kinda knew they were shady. Let me guess, if I had actually done that I bet the driver would have nothing but great things to say. As he casually slides me his name and to put it on my application. So he could get a little bonus.
