What's the contract for? Are you playing for their semi-pro team?

I just want to know why people go to some of these companys.
Sure, Central is not a great company, or Stevens, or Werner or Schneider. But at least you have some chance of making money.
I chose Central out of the ones available. They have not been bad to me. I make ok money. Usually 700 to 1000 a week take home. I am home a few times a month.
Even Swift, drivers make some money. It is not hand over fist. But it gets them going and started in the industry. Not totally broke.

The things I am reading here about CRST are just crazy. Like class action crazy.

Kenworth: The contract was for them paying for the school to get your CDL..........as I mentioned this was the only co. that did not want 1year or more contract. The contract was for 8 months.

Not working for the team in the full sense...........I fortunately for me don't have much to complain about. Things have been goos for me. I have had a few bumps in the road however, over all things have been good.

My contract has been over for 4 months and I am still here. Have been trainning for a while making OK money.

Just looked up my logs and have over 109,000 logged miles averaged 5,700 paid miles per week since I started. The first 6 months were a little hard when making $.22 p/m but got past it.

I work 4 weeks out and go home for a week..........

What works for me and has is not for everyone.
I have a good dispatcher, I get p/up's and del.'s early and always ready to roll. I can not explain why so many people are not doing so well other than to say something they are not doing properly.

I have 5 students that are out running and they have conveyed to me, that they are doing well. I will admit you can have a dispatcher that is not good. I did have one for a couple of weeks that I got rid of because they weren't making sure I was rolling enough. So, if you are not running good enough tell your dispatcher and if things don't change that probably means you have done something wrong to p---- them off or something else.

Good luck to everyone, OTR work is not for everyone.

im back friom home time i been on the road a week now (for thoes who dont know crst only runs teams) and iv did 967 mile in that week
iv been at crst 5 1/2 months in that time i never got the socall 4000 miles a week runs to get that $440 pay check .
you know how i mannage to stay with crst this long.my GIRLFRIEND is holding it down at home and sending me money when im broke
so for thoes who dont have that kinda relationship may god help you.
let me just say if i had done my research before coming to crst i say maybe id go else where, the only thing they got on the others is that 8month and not a year contract but other that that it sucks ###

Stay away from CRST, there are other ways to get your CDL. Learn from our mistake! God I hate them!

    Long Live Bobbie!!
