CRST is very bad

I just read on their website that essentially they will expect a female student to go with a male trainer for 28 days and that they should expect that. It's like they could care less. i know most companies wont do that because issues arise from things like that.

 

Foreign Born Applicants
Applicant must have correct and proper documentation with a card that does not expire for at​

least 8-months. Don't this seem like coincendance the students have to sign a 8 month contract. i guess they could care less as long they continue bring in the big $$$. They dont care if they can't last past 8mos.

this is their experienced driver pay scale.

 

CRST is about the same as any other company out there. Some drivers are happy others are not. Some have a thing against the company and think they have to put in their two cents worth and take a jab any chance they can. Only thing I can say is if you don't like it or the policies either leave or do not go to the company. Good luck finding another company when you are just starting out that is going to be much better

Crst must go down

 

The school in Melbourne, Fl was shut down. They had a third party tester. At that time I was driving for CRST, it had been about a year. My fleet manager contacted me about the school closing. I also received a mail from the State of Florida they gave a option for taking a class B license or retaking the pretrip, skills and road test. It kind of sucked but I just took the test and everything was fine. CRST was also sending people who went to that school to there terminals to go over pre-trip ,skills because they had people failing the pretrip test at the FL DMV.

 

I agree, CRST is a bad company to work for, but in this case, the school was located in Florida and CRST is based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa so it could be a case of the right hand not knowing what the left hand was doing. My situation was different, I requested a non smoking co driver and got a marijuana smoker. One thing about CRST I've noticed is that if you complain about a driver that has more time with the company than you do, CRST will label you as a whiner. My co driver had been there for 2 years when we hooked up and had been through 10 co drivers at that point.

 

how is crst for getting started? i hear alot of good and bad. but isnt that with any company you work for in any field of work?

 

wow! if we went by what everyone had bad to say about some company you wouldnt work for any. it looks like every company is listed here as being bad.
